【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidestheperformancecharacteristicsandqualificationtestsrequiredforgasketedmechanicalcouplingsincludinggrooved-typemechanicalcouplingsforgroovedendpipe,mechanicalrestraintcouplingsforplainendpipeandmechanicalcompressioncouplingsforplainendpipe.Thesecouplingsareforuseattemperatureswithintherecommendedtemperaturerangeoftheirrespectivegaskets.Consultmanufacturerfordetails.1.2Thevaluesstatedinmetricunits(SI)aretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparentheses(inch/pound)areprovidedforinformationpurposes.1.3Measuringandtestequipment(Mx0026;TE)usedintheperformanceofthetestsdescribedhereinshallbecalibratedusingequipmentwhichistraceabletotheNationalInstituteofStandardsandTechnology(NIST)orcalibratedinaccordancewiththerequirementsdetailedinBS5781Part1againststandardstraceabletoNationalStandards.1.4Asthisisnotadimensionalstandard,nordoesitcontaincomponentdimensions,theintermixingofsub-componentssuchasgasketsandhousingsbetweenmanufacturersisnotrecommendedandconstitutesnon-conformancewiththisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
