【摘要】:Full-scalebendingtestingisaneffectivewaytodetermineflexuralpropertiesofstructuralgluedlaminatedtimber(glulam)beams.However,testingoflargeglulammembersiscostprohibitive.Mathematicalmodels,whenconfirmedbyfull-scaletestresults,areusefultoolstoassignflexuralpropertiesforglulam.Thispracticeprovidesguidelinesforsamplingandtestingfull-scaleglulambeamstodeterminetheirflexuralpropertiesandtovalidatemathematicalmodelsintendedforuseinassigningflexuraldesignvalues.1.1Thispracticedescribesproceduresforfullscaletestingofstructuralgluedlaminatedtimber(glulam)todetermineorverifycharacteristicvaluesusedtocalculateflexuraldesignproperties.Guidelinesaregivenfor:(1)testingindividualstructuralgluedlaminatedtimberlay-ups(withnomodeling),(2)testingindividualglulamcombinations(withlimitedmodeling),and(3)validatingmodelsusedtopredictcharacteristicvalues.1.2Thispracticeislimitedtoproceduresforestablishingflexuralproperties(ModulusofRupture,MOR,andModulusofElasticity,MOE).Someoftheprinciplesforsamplingandanalysispresentedmaybeapplicabletootherproperties.However,otherpropertiesmayrequireadditionaltestingconsiderationsthatarebeyondthescopeofthispractice.1.3ThispracticeisnotintendedtosupersedetheprovisionsofPracticeD3737,butprovidesanalternativemethodforestablishingcharacteristicvalues.Lay-upcombinationsdevelopedinaccordancewithPracticeD3737arenotrequiredtobegovernedbythisstandard.Note18212;ThemodelsdescribedbyPracticeD3737havebeendevelopedandmodifiedbasedonmorethan50yearsofexperienceandmanytestprograms.Insomecases,however,itmaybedesirabletodevelopanewmodelbasedonotherinputpropertiesorusinglumbermaterialsorgradesnotcoveredbythatstandard.1.4Detailsofproduction,inspection,andcertificationarebeyondthescopeofthisdocument.However,fortestresultstoberepresentativeofproduction,qualitycontrolsystemsshallbeinplacetoensureconsistentquality.ManufacturingshallconformtorecognizedmanufacturingstandardssuchasANSI/AITCA190.1orCSAO122.1.5AdjustmentstocharacteristicvaluestodeterminereferencevaluesfordesignshallbeinaccordancewithPracticeD2915forallowablestressdesign(ASD)orSpecificationD5457forloadandresistancefactordesign(LRFD).1.6AdjustmentstoASDreferencevaluesforend-useconditionsintendedfordesignpurposesshallbeperformedinaccordancewithPracticeD3737.ThesameadjustmentfactorsshallapplytoLRFDreferencevalues,exceptthattheASDloaddurationfactorshallbereplacedbyanappropriateLRFDtimeeffectfactorasdeterminedinaccordancewithrecognizedindustrypractice.1.7Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
