【摘要】:Vibratedbulkdensity(VBD)isanindicatorofcalcinedpetroleumcokeporosity,whichaffectsitssuitabilityforuseinpitch-bondedcarbonapplications.(Warning8212;Vibratedbulkdensityforasampleofcalcinedpetroleumcokeisstronglydependentuponaverageparticlesizeandparticlesizerange.Bulkdensitytendstoincreasewithdecreasingcokesize.Anarrowparticlesizerangeforthistestminimizesthepossibilityforvariationduetoskewingofthetestsampletowardeitherscreendefiningthesample.)1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofbulkdensityofarepresentative2-kgsampleofcalcinedpetroleumcoke,aftervibrationtoincreasecompaction,usingasemi-automaticapparatus.1.2Theprocedureisapplied,butnotlimited,toparticlespassingthrougha4.75-mmopeningsieveandretainedona1.18-mmopeningsieve.Further,theprocedureisapplied,butnotlimited,toaspecifictestsamplehavingparticlespassingthrougha0.85-mmopeningsieveandretainedona0.425-mmopeningsieve.ThisprocedurecouldalsobeappliedtoothersievefractionsbeingagreedoninthealuminumindustryasspecifiedinAnnexA1.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
